Why You Need Toro financial
Although many of you are counting down the days to that “final punch,” the actual process can be scary, overwhelming and intimidating – just ask any of your co-workers who have received that giant blue book of retirement forms.
Speaking of co-workers, what is good for them is rarely good for everyone they talk to. Just because Bob working the swing shift has a seven figure TSP does not necessarily mean that you should be taking his advice on Spousal Benefits…or investments, for that matter.
Remember that time your Agency provided you with that one-on-one retirement consultation so you could retire with confidence? Me neither. When budgets get slashed, retirement support is usually the first to go. Simply giving you the retirement packet is one thing, helping you make informed decisions is quite another. And let’s be honest, educating you on how to maximize your lifetime benefits isn’t on HR’s list…but it should be at the top of yours. Also, HR reps are not inclined to give personal benefits recommendations for liability reasons, nor financial advice because they are not licensed to do so.
Making a mistake with your retirement choices can be very expensive…and very permanent. I’ve seen the look on someone’s face when I had to tell them that they signed away all rights to their TSP when they chose the Lifetime Payout option. It isn’t pretty.
